Dr. Adler understands that dental health contributes to overall patient health and that the dental office itself can contribute to this sense of well-being. That is why we manage all aspects of our office and your visit with consideration to environmental issues. Dr. Adler minimizes
patient and staff exposure to radiation by adhering to the ALARA
principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable)
and offers an initial review of your X-rays from previous dental
offices. Indoor air quality is managed by portable room air cleaners
with true HEPA filters. When the wall paint is refreshed only low-odour
and chemically reduced paints are used. The office also encourages a
no-scent and smoke-free environment. In acknowledging that our
behaviours can indirectly affect human well-being beyond the office
walls, we ensure compliance with the City of Toronto's Sewer Use
By-law which regulates discharges of specific pollutants into the
City's sewer system. Office materials are recycled when practical. And electricity in the office is bullfrogpoweredTM with 100% green electricity which means that Dr. Adler supports clean renewable electricity, thus reducing polluting greenhouse gas emissions.
Dr. Adler is also a proud supporter of environmental and
health-related charitable organizations
